Tonino Baliardo Sarasota Concert reviews
Disappointing in some ways; great in others.
In retrospect, I am glad I gave up my ticket earlier this year because of the opportunity costs of seeing the show. The best parts of the show were their support of veterans and opening up about their struggles with sobriety. Don’t get me wrong, I am not knocking the band, but for what it was, I was disappointed in the show. They only played for just over an hour; on top of that, each song had a delay where the band disappeared to change shirts or something. The concert, the songs they did play were great, but given the brevity of their concert, I felt kinda ripped off. Of the songs they played on their set, they didn’t play some of their biggest singles like “battle born” and “The pride”. I would have expected to hear “Shamplain” and “when seasons change” off their new album, given that these were the singles that had been popularized. Well, where to begin? This is my second time seeing Tonino Baliardo in concert. We saw them a couple years back at rock on the range. Overall, I would probably see them again if somebody else paid for the ticket. I was so looking forward to this show, and in the end, it just left me wanting more.
